Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. I love this book, and have read it multiple times. The science seems so real, despite some very obvious pitfalls.
For a debut book, Andrew Weir really knocked it out of the park. A fast paced story about an astronaut left on Mars. It has just enough detail to be realistic and not boring with over explanation. The character development is supurb and Mark Watney is very believable as a person.
